Eight Braunschweig Projects scholarships awarded in Fine Art and Sound Art by the State of Lower Saxony and the HBK Braunschweig

As part of the ninth Braunschweig Projects programme, the HBK Braunschweig has awarded scholarships to eight outstanding artists from around the world. The scholarships were made possible through a grant from the State of Lower Saxony. A welcome ceremony will take place on 29 January 2020.

As part of the ninth Braunschweig Projects programme, the HBK Braunschweig has awarded scholarships to eight outstanding artists from around the world. The scholarships were made possible through a grant from the State of Lower Saxony. The scholarship holders in Fine Art have already arrived in Braunschweig and a special ceremony will be held on 29 January to welcome them to the city. The ceremony will take place at the HBK in House 40, Room 109.

The eight scholarship holders were selected for the Projects scholarship programme by a jury of specialists, from a total of 226 eligible applicants from Germany and around the world.
In Fine Art, five scholarships were awarded, going to FRAUD. Samson & Gallardo, Sanggeun Ho, Sajan Mani, Bethan Hughes and Alina Schmuch. Three scholarships were awarded to applicants in the field of Sound Art. The recipients were Sabina Hyoju Ahn, Erik De Luca and Nour Sokhn.
