Prof. Dr. Hubertus von Amelunxen
Prof. Dr. Hubertus von Amelunxen is a literary and visual culture scholar. He completed his studies of French and German literature as well as art history in Marburg and Paris. He is the author of numerous books and articles and the curator of many international exhibitions. Most recently, he curated the exhibition "Cy Twombly. Photographs 1951-2010" for the Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels.
In 2000 he edited the book “Photo and Concept Art for a Building: Unter Den Linden 50; a Project for the German Bundestag Berlin” with Hans-Werner Schmidt on behalf of the Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung (BBR). From 2000 to 2007, he was senior visiting curator at the Canadian Centre for Architecture. He lives and works in Berlin and Braunschweig.
Hubertus von Amelunxen has been president of the Braunschweig University of Art since October 2010.
