The Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (HBK) / Braunschweig University of Art offers a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education in Art Mediation.
The Art Mediation programme places special emphasis on self-determined artistic work in the Fine Arts classes and on the development of art mediation and exhibition projects with an artistic approach. Therefore, students of Art Mediation are required to pass the admission test for the course Fine Arts. Art Mediation stresses the artistic processes, which is the basis for the study programme. At the HBK Braunschweig, a variety of inter-disciplinary study combinations are available One ist able to study Performing Arts, Aesthetics and Art History, Media Studies, Communication Design/Arts, and Industrial Design. Various courses offered by the neighbouring universities Technische Universität Braunschweig and Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover can also be attended.
