HBK Braunschweig has entered into an Erasmus partnership with the Katholische Privat-Universität Linz (Catholic Private University Linz, “KU Linz”), its first partnership exclusively in the field of art history. Students enrolled at HBK Braunschweig majoring in Art History and Aesthetics can study the same subject at the KU Linz at the university’s

Institute of History and Theory of Art, Institute of History and Theory of Architecture or the Institute of Contemporary Arts and Media

Students can gain initial insights into the subject by taking a look at this

short film

or logging into a

webinar on graffiti by Professor Ilaria Hoppe

from the Institute of Contemporary Arts and Media. .

The KU Linz is a small university with just 350 students. It is located at the heart of Linz – a city that, as the capital of Upper Austria, offers immense cultural diversity. Formerly a centre of industry, Linz has transformed itself into a cultural hotspot with numerous museums, galleries and event locations, of which the Ars Electronica Center is perhaps the best-known.
Students who participate in an exchange in the winter semester can take part in an English-language international study program as well as attending German-language events and courses.

It is still just possible to submit applications for the summer semester 2022. If you wish to apply, please do so by 23 June 2021.
