Modelling and Plastics

Modelling and Plastics

Students who wish to complete their studies this summer semester can use the workshops, provided that all hygiene regulations are observed and appointments have been made.
In any case, please contact the workshop manager first by email. Describe briefly your project and the time required!

Pay attention to the hygiene concept of the HBK Braunschweig as well as to the current information on coronavirus.

The workshop
Design students can use the modelling workshop for working with a variety of different materials. The workshop offers a turning lathe and a programmable CNC milling machine. A finishing room is attached to the modelling and plastics workshop. We can offer advice and technical support to help students to realise their design models, including amorphous designs.

The workplace has six workstations where students enrolled on the Design degree programmes can create their design models. Two to five participants can be in the workshop at any given time by prior arrangement with the workshop supervisor.

Work clothing and sturdy footwear MUST be worn when using the workshop, preferably PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safety footwear.

Staying safe in the workshop
